Weekend News
Oz - I watch the Phillies game with Aba and my dad and my mom and someone else. I play outside and I eat tacos.
Jackson - I watch a movie but I don't know what it's called. I watch Paw Patrol too. I go to Jenkintown playground.
Adam - I play with Papa and read a book at snack. I play with Meemaw at home. I play with daddy in my room. I drive around the block in the rain with mom-mom. I visit mom-mom at her house.
Ekin - I run really fast at the pumpkin patch. I went down the big slide then I jump on the pumpkin patch. I got two pumpkins. I make Titipo on the pumpkin. I go on hayride with my family. I went on wheel barrel ride and I ran really fast again like a race train. I buy some candy then I went home. I eat a little candy and I eat ice cream. On Saturday I eat some popcorn.
Phoenix - I play hot potato with my mom. I made pancakes with my dad.
Riley - I play my toys. I watch Mickey mouse. I was so excite to go on vacation and see auntie Christen.
Shanga - I play with my daddy. I went to sleep. I got dress. I count my numbers and I play dinosaurs.
James - I play with mommy and daddy. I play outside. Last night, I was having a party for aunt Kelly. I paint and that's all.
Sidney - I was at California with my sister and myself and mommy. We go in the airplane and I like it.
Blaise - I was not at home. So the first day I went to basketball. The next day I went to boxing. Yesterday I was at brunch and then we go to the costume store. I came back home and cousin Normie was there. I ate some dinner and went to bed.
Angeline - I play with my sister. I went to my cousin's house. I play with toys. I eat dinner at my cousin's. We make cookies and eat donuts. My cousin have two cats.
Cooper - We watch tv. I go the store with mommy. I play outside my sister.
Hayden - I go to Taylor's softball practice. Then I went back home. I watch tv and I ate dinner. Then I go to sleep.
Lily - I play and have fun. I went to the zoo and I got a flamingo lovie. I went the farm with my Gigi and I had fun.
Ashanti read us two books The Bold Brave Bunny and My lucky Day. After we returned our borrowed book from last class. The Cardinals really liked these books and gave two thumbs up for both! Soon it was time for the Cardinals to chose and check out a book to bring back to our classroom! Our friends chose lots of Halloween book, which upon returning to our classroom. The requests for a teacher to read was in high demand!
Tuesday
Spanish class with Alicia was as engaging as always. After our Spanish routine, Alicia continued the conversation to help us understand the beautiful things that makes us different yet the same, igual y diferente. We are all amazing, unique, special, precious human beings who all have wonderful gifts! To introduce piel (skin), Alicia first shared the three ways that we get our very special and unique color of piel; our family, ancestors, the sun and melanin. She then read us the book The Colors of Us. The book was about the many beautiful colors of us. The Cardinals then sang in Spanish Head-N-Shoulders and Mi cuerpo hace música in preparation for our Lower School assembly in three weeks!! Cardinals, you're sounding awesome!! Today it was Jackson's turn to squeezed la vaca!

Wednesday
Today we had our first discussion about what each Cardinal want to learn more about. Here is what friends had to say:

Thursday
We had our first fire drill for the school year today. We explained to the Cardinals what to expect, where we were going and that we all need to be quite once outside to listen for instructions. We were very impressed with the Cardinals! What an amazing job they all did!!
After returning to the classroom, we asked our Cardinals what they thought of the fire drill. Here is what friends had to say:
James - Being safe with my friends cause we practice and we safe
Cooper - Walking friends
Blaise - I like it, I feel safe.
Lily - The beep noise because I was safe with all my Cardinals.
Jackson - I was scare because of noise but we come back in and I was not scared anymore.
Ekin - I need to stop it cause we safe and I go really fast.
Phoenix - The noise wasn't scary and we went outside.

In art class we worked on creating Fall drawings. Amanda told us, that she collected different kinds and color leaves for us to work with. Amanda helped and showed the Cardinals how to look for the amazing details that each leave had. Then it was the Cardinals turn to draw with black markers. Some friends traced leaves, while others looked at the leaves and tried drawing them. Amanda then gave out Fall color markers for friends to color in their leaves drawings and to decorate.
