Weekend News
Oz - I went to a basketball game with Phoenix. I had a playdate with Phoenix.
Jackson - I watch a movie with my mom and dad. I play games with my mom and dad. I also play upstairs by myself.
Adam - I play Chutes and Ladder with daddy and papa. Daddy came in first and I came in second and my papa came in third.
Ekin - I lost my friz tab. I play and I ate toast and I went to bed.
Phoenix - I went to a game with Oz and I had cotton candy and my tongue was blue. I went to Oz and Ever's house and I feed the goats and chickens.
Riley - I ate some food. I play with my toys. I hug and kiss my family. I hope that my grandma comes to my house soon.
Shanga - Me and my daddy play with some toys. We watch a movie.
James - I play with my mommy and daddy. I eat soft pretzel and apples with my mom and daddy
Sidney - I watch Mermaids on the tv and I took a nap. I play with my sister. I watch Gabby Doll House on my tv.
Blaise - I stay home and relax and I watch tv. I ate some snacks and I had dinner with my family.
Angeline - I play a Unicorn game with my neighbors Ila and Vera. My mom came home from the mountains.
Cooper - I play with my daddy. I eat dinner me and mommy and my sister.
Hayden - I went to my sister's basketball game and I had pizza.
Lily - I play and I watch tv. I went to Kids Empire and I play and it was super fun.
Ashanti began library class with having the Cardinals settle their bodies by opening and closing their hands, followed by giving a clap, all while singing. Friends repeated this motion four times and each time they clapped and sang their voices got lower and lower. The last round was done in silence. After a minute of silence, Ashanti read two books, If You Give A Moose A Muffin and Dogs Don't Wear Sneakers. The Cardinals enjoyed both these funny books and giggled from beginning to end!! Friends also had a lot to say about these books. At the end of the books, Ashanti asked each Cardinal to close their eyes and imagine what they see. After about one minute, Ashanti asked each Cardinal what they imagined!! The responses were awesome! Friends then got to choose a book, check it out and bring it back to our classroom. Ask your Cardinal what they thought about the two books that Ashanti read?

Today we talked and voted as a group about how to create wings for our airplane! The Cardinals also worked more on creating our cockpit!
Thursday
The Cardinals helped Sidney celebrate her 5th birthday today. Sidney brought in a cake to share with her friends. Thank you, Sidney, for celebrating your special day with us! We hope you enjoy the rest of your birthday after school.

Today the Cardinals continued their work with clay. Amanda talked about texture and the different kinds. Friends then individually discovered the different types of textures in class while working with clay and materials. Ask your Cardinal to show you two or three different types of textures around your home!
The Cardinals were super super excited to visit the upper school's Stuffed Animal Clinic. We got to the Stewart Lobby and the upper school students were all set up and ready for us! There were check-in stations with nurse practitioners to give check-ups and referrals for surgery if needed. Friends even got stickers afterwards! The upper schooler put smiles on the Cardinals face as they fixed our stuffed animals for us. And yes, the Cardinals all showed their appreciation by saying thank you and giving hugs!
Friday
Friends warmed up to Gloria Estefan in music before continuing our music routine. The Cardinals sang, danced, followed directions and were great listeners in following directions!
We did not have a lot of time to play several board games and so we gave the Cardinals the choices of playing Twister or playing a few board games but they would not have time to switch games. We voted and 11 friends chose Twister and 2 friends chose other games.
